Who is Specialty Metals Processing Inc?
SMP was founded in 1996 as a toll processor with the installation of a coil buff line. This line produces a #7 & #8 finish on stainless coils to serve the transportation industry. Since then SMP has continually added equipment, expanded its capabilities and its services, primarily focusing on finishing and surface conditioning. Today, SMP has a total of 16 processing lines and has expanded to a 170,000 sq. ft. facility, centrally located near Cleveland, Ohio.
SMP has become a leading toll processor in flat-rolled special metals; including stainless, titanium, aluminum, nickel alloys and red metals. With its state of the art finishing equipment, SMP has become a “boutique processor” that has the experience and the equipment to handle almost any flat rolled project where the surface is critical.
